activities
After completing his radiology
residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dr. David ran the clinical
MRI service at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, working under
the direction of Robert Edelman, M.D., a world leader in magnetic
resonance imaging. This intense, focused experience exposed him to every
facet of MRI, particularly musculoskeletal MRI and body MRI. During that
time, Dr. David published articles on several cutting-edge applications
of MRI, including magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP),
oxygen-enhanced MR ventilation-perfusion imaging of the lung and
gadolinium-enhanced peripheral MR venography.
Following his radiology and MRI training, Dr. David served as director
of musculoskeletal and body MRI at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in
Pittsburgh, where he conducted regular teaching conferences with the
hospital's surgical and medical staffs. During his tenure there, he
developed an intense interest in orthopedic imaging—an interest nurtured
through his close relationships with the hospital's orthopedic and
podiatric specialists.
To date, he continues to work closely with clinical colleagues, visiting
operating rooms on a regular basis to correlate imaging findings with
intraoperative observations. He is active at national and local medical
meetings, giving lectures and participating in various task forces.
Dr. David brings extensive experience in magnetic resonance arthrography,
sports medicine MRI, and open MRI to Progressive Radiology. He also
works tirelessly with technologists and vendors to improve image quality
on a daily basis.
Dr. David is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society and a
counselor for Radiological Society of North America. He is active in
community affairs.
